Gate Access Information

Read this carefully and please be sure that all interested parties are aware of this information.

E. J. Robson/Riggs Rd. gate will be staffed seven (7) days a week to control admission into the community by construction traffic working on the area adjacent to that gate. Residents may also use this gate, but Oakwood visitors are encouraged to use the Sun Lakes Blvd gate or the North Dobson gate.

Sun Lakes Blvd/Riggs Rd. gate is the main gate for Oakwood.

Halley gate continues to be the main gate for Ironwood.

Visitor/Worker are expected in Oakwood or Ironwood, you must call the Sun Lakes gate for Oakwood at 802-1327 or the Halley gate for Ironwood at 895-5752. When calling the gate please give the name of your visitor/worker and the time you anticipate they will arrive.

Note: If a visitor/worker arrives and is not registered, they will not be allowed to enter the community.

SENTEX Boxes (directory) are located at E. J. Robson gate, Sun Lakes gate, Halley Gate and North Dobson gate. The SENTEX boxes at North Dobson may be used 24/7, however, the others may only be used during unmanned hours.

Manned gate operations are 6 AM to 8 PM.  If you should have a problem you can always call Mobil Patrol at 797-6508.

Vehicle Tag Requirements

All vehicles with a Sun Lakes Country Club (Phase I) or Cottonwood Palo Verde (Phase II) decal will be logged in by the time they entered and their license plate number. All other vehicles entering the visitors lane at any one of the manned gates will be stopped, logged in, and issued a mirror hang tag (see below). Mobile Patrol has been instructed to watch for vehicles that do not display the proper mirror tags or IronOaks homeowner decal. If a vehicle is stopped for not displaying the tag, they may be given a citation or asked to leave the community.

Homeowner Visitor/Vendor – Yellow Visitor Tags These tags are given out at the gate and are good for (1) one day only. Homeowner is expected to call the gate ahead of time to authorize entry.

Homeowner Overnight Visitors – White Guest Tags. These tags are issued by the Patrol Office only, and appropriate forms must be filled out and signed by a homeowner. These tags are issued for up to a 14 day period.

Family Member/Caregiver - Blue Visitor Tags.  These tags are issued by the Patrol Office only, and appropriate forms must be filled out and signed by a homeowner. These tags are limited and only issued to Family Members and or Caregivers who have a proven need to frequently check on a resident homeowner. They are good for up to 12 months from the date of issue.
Clubhouse, Arts and Crafts & Restaurants Visitors - Red Visitor Tags These tags are given out at the gate and are good for one day only.

Max Life Visitors – Red Visitor Tags Visitors that have membership for Max Life are on a monthly membership list at each of the manned gates after logging in, a red tag is issued that is good until the end of the month issued.

Golfers - Green Golfer Tags A "tee sheet" is furnished daily, to each of the manned gates. If golfers want to enter the community, they must first have a tee time. If they do not have a tee time, they will be asked to call the appropriate pro shop and obtain one. If the pro shop is closed, they will be asked to contact the Ranger on duty. They are good for one day.

Service Providers – White Contractor Tags These tags are given to service organizations that visit the community regularly like painters, neighbors who care, landscapers, pool maintenance etc. They must go through a permitting process before Tags are issued. These are issued by the Patrol Office only, and expire at the end of each calendar year.

Employees – White employee Tags. Given to all IronOak’s employees turned in upon termination of employment
