Report of the IronOaks Appeals Committee
APRIL 2008
This month ten hearings were scheduled. All were for first time offenders for parking in the street overnight. One appeal was withdrawn and the fine paid prior to the hearing. As a result that matter was closed and not pending at the time of the rule change mentioned below. With respect to the other nine matters, 8 were denied and 1 was granted. The day after the hearings the Board changed the Rules and first time offenders are now given a warning. Since the new Rule went into effect immediately and those 8 matters were still pending (since the appellants had not yet received their ruling letters), the Committee decided that the 8 homeowners whose appeals were denied would be issued warnings.
